Evil

1. He said there was a reservoir of goodness; he said that evil is always trying to get in; he said that he was being protected ... and he said that to talk about evil was to invite it.

2. Although Mr. Jalal Rumi had the nous to suss out that ‘ideas of wrong doing and right doing’ were merely that – ideas – he was clearly of the school that was into transforming ‘evil’ into ‘good’.

3. Because enlightenment comes about through sublimation and transcendence (the lotus blossom has its roots in mud) the masters have not eliminated evil but merely risen above it.

4. The ‘dark nature’ was extinguished along with the extinction of identity ... and so too went its opposite ‘light nature’. The ‘Good’ is a psychic force that exist solely to combat the ‘Evil’.
