Turning Away

1.) A little clear-eyed look at history reveals that the ‘Give peace a chance’ movement became ‘Bugger that, I’m turning away and going for my own Inner Peace’ movement. Or less colloquially, the Eastern spiritualists (J. Krishnamurti, M. Rajneesh, Bstan-’dzin-rgya-mtsho (Dalai Lama), et al) co-opted the naïve desire for peace on earth that many held and corrupted it to serve their own agenda, thereby turning the naiveté of a few into the gullibility of the many.
