Dissociation

1.) Dissociation – an example in the words of a George Harrison song – ‘But if I seem to act unkind, it isn’t me, it’s just my mind’. 

That is a good example. Personally I would not throw that one out for the fact that it is such a good example.

Dissociation – an example in the words of a NIN song – ‘There is no you there is only me’. Because I think he is talking about himself. I like to listen to that song because it makes me reflect on the situation with a beat.

The reason I used a George Harrison lyric as an example of dissociation was that he was well known for his Eastern Mystical beliefs. I know nothing about NIN or the author of the lyrics but on the face of it ‘there is no you there is only me’ takes dissociation a step further into solipsism.
